Chelsea, Manchester City running rule over Nicolo Tresoldi

Chelsea and Manchester City are watching Nicolo Tresoldi in action, and the Premier League duo could launch an approach for the Club Brugge goal machine.

According to TEAMtalk, Tresoldi continues to attract significant attention in the market, with Chelsea and Manchester City set to join the race. Representatives from both English giants are expected to watch the Club Brugge striker in action, with a future approach a real possibility.

Nicolo Tresoldi has made his mark in Belgium, with his 32 goal contributions last season helping Club Brugge win the 2025/26 league title. He has splendidly started the new season, scoring nine goals across all competitions, including a hat-trick at San Siro against Inter Milan.

He has already attracted tremendous interest from top clubs, and the list continues to grow ahead of the January window. Club Brugge have no interest in parting ways with him during the winter window, although they could come under immense pressure in the near future, with their ability to retain the 22-year-old striker likely to be tested.

There are further reports stating that Club Brugge could demand as much as €80 million for the attacker, which may filter out some of his suitors. However, several big Premier League sides are unlikely to be deterred by a huge asking price, with Manchester City and Chelsea joining the race.

Manchester City and Chelsea scouting Tresoldi

Manchester City and Chelsea scouts have been expected to watch the 22-year-old striker in action as Club Brugge take on St Truiden. This will be an opportunity to assess the player’s talents on the pitch and gather first-hand information about his ability to play for either club.

Chelsea have been looking for a young striker who would fit into their system and improve their attacking setup. They signed Danny Welbeck in the summer as cover for Joao Pedro, who is viewed as their first-choice No. 9, although the club are eager to bring in competition for the Brazilian, and Nicolo Tresoldi might fit the bill.

Manchester City have held an interest in Tresoldi recently, and they too are looking for cover in the striker position. Erling Haaland continues to perform admirably in that role, although a new striker may be needed to give the Norwegian rest during consistent periods of the season.

Either club would have the financial capability to sign a striker like Tresoldi, even if he carries a high asking price. Club Brugge could be tested with approaches ahead of January, although they are likely to block any moves and keep the player in their squad at least until the summer.
