Maurizio Sarri has made eight changes to the side that beat Derby County in the Carabao Cup as Chelsea prepare to face Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge

Eden Hazard has made the matchday squad. But, the Chelsea talisman is only fit enough to be named among the substitutes, which includes Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Lotus-Cheek. Meanwhile, in-form English midfielder Ross Barkley is one of eight changes made by Maurizio Sarri.

Cesar Azpilicueta dons the captain’s armband, while Jorginho and Kepa Arrizabalaga return as well. Olivier Giroud has missed out due to a minor injury, meaning Alvaro Morata starts as the focal point of the Chelsea attack.
