Chelsea could offer €80 million for Dusan Vlahovic

Chelsea could elevate their interest in Dusan Vlahovic and offer €80 million for the 23-year-old Serbian striker this month.

According to Fichajes, Chelsea could test Juventus’ resolve by making a stellar €80 million offer for Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian remains one of the big names on their striker shortlist, but there are plenty of complications in the background to consider the Bianconeri forward as their prime target this month.

Will Chelsea offer €80 million for Dusan Vlahovic?

The report states that’s the case as Chelsea could elevate their interest in the Serbian striker as Mauricio Pochettino continues to demand a top draw forward. The Blues have spent over a billion pounds in the three windows since the Todd Boehly-led takeover but have failed to sign a big-name striker during this period.

Dusan Vlahovic remains a target for Chelsea, with earlier reports suggesting they might have a chance to sign him on the cheap. Juventus continue to rate the forward and may not let him leave at a loss, considering they had paid around €75 million or more to sign him from Fiorentina.

Another story insisted Vlahovic could leave for around €60 million, as Arsenal and Real Madrid are a few of the other clubs that hold long-term interest. Yet, the latest on the forward suggests Chelsea have not let him out of their sight, with the Blues eager to test Juventus’ resolve with a stellar €80 million offer.

While that may make Juventus think, although previously they might have wanted €100 million or more for the 23-year-old in-demand striker, overall, Vlahovic does have Chelsea’s interest. However, there are doubts whether they are keen to bring him on priority to become their main No.9.

Chelsea have another big name on their list.

In recent weeks, Victor Osimhen’s name has rung many times within the corridors of Chelsea, with suggestions the Napoli striker has agreed to join them. If that’s the case, then the Blues will have to pay a hefty price, which could either be his £112 million release clause or somewhere very close to it.

‘In case they end up bringing Osimhen as a long-term target in the summer, there are questions about why they are so keen on Vlahovic. The 23-year-old Serbian does have qualities that are missing from this Chelsea side, but he might not come anywhere close to the Nigerian.

There are obvious problems with landing Osimhen this month, which could have prompted Chelsea to attempt for Vlahovic.
