Chelsea got a step closer to lifting the Premier League title as they overcame West Ham United 2-1 at the London Stadium on Monday.

Eden Hazard and Diego Costa were the scorers once again against West Ham, as they were in the reverse fixture as Chelsea ran out 2-1 winners over the East Londoners on Monday night, just as they did on the opening weekend at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian winger opened the scoring midway through the first half as N’Golo Kante initiated a typical Chelsea counter attack from deep within his own half, before Hazard played a one-two with Pedro and rounded off Darren Randolph to slot the ball into the West Ham net.

The advantage was doubled just five minutes into the second half as Costa turned the ball in with his thigh from Hazard’s corner to score his 17th league goal of the season. West Ham then grabbed a consolation goal deep into injury time, with Manuel Lanzini being the scorer.
