James Milner will leave Liverpool when his contract expires this summer, and he is reportedly heading to Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, James Milner will join up with his former Liverpool teammate Adam Lallana at Brighton & Hove Albion when the summer transfer window opens in July.
Milner has been a useful player for Liverpool since joining the club under Brendan Rodgers. He has helped Liverpool win every single trophy at club level, and the 37-year-old has proven to be one of the best free transfers in the club’s history.
Apart from his quality as a footballer, his mentality and leadership qualities have proven to be priceless for the Liverpool dressing room. There is no doubt that Liverpool will miss a player like him next season. And it will be interesting to see how they replace him during the summer transfer window amid links with several midfielders, including Alexis Mac Allister.

The 37-year-old could be the ideal mentor for players like Moises Caicedo next season. He is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the midfield, and he can slot in as a full-back as well. His versatility will be an added bonus for Brighton and Roberto De Zerbi.
Milner has already proven himself at the highest level with big clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City over the years. A move to Brighton is a fresh new challenge for him and he will be hoping to guide them to a trophy in the coming seasons.
