Manchester City ran riot at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to hand a thumping 5-0 loss to Liverpool, who saw Sadio Mane being sent off in the first half

A sombre start to the weekend’s marquee Premier League clash was kicked into life after Sergio Aguero broke the deadlock midway through the first half. Things then got heated up when Sadio Mane saw red for a high boot on Ederson before Gabriel Jesus doubled the hosts’ advantage in injury time.

The Brazilian scored early into the second half as well before Leroy Sane rounded off a deserved win with a late double. However, it was an anti-climactic start to life as a Liverpool player for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who, unsurprisingly, was a major talking point in the aftermath of the one-sided affair.
