On Monday night, Chelsea raced to a 1-0 victory against fellow Premier League side Manchester United in the quarter finals of the FA Cup to set up a semi-final encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho started with a 3-5-2 formation, hoping to contain the offensive strengths of Chelsea. However, his plans went out of the window when midfielder Ander Herrera received an early bath for a second yellow in the 35th minute.
This saw Chelsea establish control over the game, and despite United’s resistance, they finally managed to break the deadlock in the 51st minute. N’Golo Kante, whose previous goal for the London outfit came against the Red Devils in October.
Chelsea left winger Eden Hazard, too, had an exceptional game and gave the United defenders a run for their money every single time the ball was at his feet. Fans on Twitter heaped heavy praise on the Belgian for his outstanding performance:

It wasn't a good performance from Chelsea by any means. Too many sloppy passes, play. Eden Hazard the difference between the teams.

Eden Hazard – brilliant footballer, even better actor.

Rojo giving a stamp on Hazard and he doesn't even overreact. Some United fans calling him a diver it's pathetic. https://t.co/WXDUin7tPl

Manchester United players have kicked Hazard tonight more than they've kicked the ball. #FACup #CHEMUN

While there were some who criticised Mourinho’s tactics, the others were impressed by the passion the Portuguese manager showed against his former side.

With every game he plays, seems evident that Antonio Valencia should be the next captain of Manchester United. Classy operator.

Kante’s wonder goal from distance was a major talking point, and his work-rate was key in Chelsea securing the win against United.

Pogba should be embarrassed for laughing around with Conte and Kante.
Back in SAF days, you do that and you're out of the club.

Kante cost almost £60m less than Pogba. The end.
