Antonio Conte has been officially given his marching orders by the Chelsea board, an update that is yet to be announced by the club.

It was a matter of when rather than if. Antonio Conte was rumoured to be heading out before the season began. But, many were surprised it took Chelsea so much time to confirm the sacking and announce the Italian’s departure.

In what was Conte’s only job so far in England, the manager achieved one Premier League title and one FA Cup during his two-year stay at the helm at Chelsea.

Chelsea fans were relieved at the announcement, with hopes that Sarri-ball would be much more pleasing. There were some attempts at trolling the Italian and Chelsea as well.

But, the majority highlighted Conte’s achievements and the fact that he had always been respectful towards the fan and the club, regardless of what was going on inside closed doors.
