Jurgen Klopp has surprised everyone with his selection, with a rare start for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as Liverpool host Chelsea at Anfield.

Liverpool fans will be pleasantly surprised by Jurgen Klopp’s selection for the match against Chelsea. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been handed a rare start along with Daniel Sturridge, both of whom would be eager to make a case for more regular inclusion in the squad on Saturday.

Joe Gomez starts again on the right side of the defence, with Trent Alexander-Arnold on the bench. Another player to make the bench is Adam Lallana, who seems to have recovered from his thigh injury.

What is interesting is Klopp’s decision to leave out Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane from the starting eleven, both of whom finding themselves on the bench in such a high-pressure match.
