The Spain international has been one of the best strikers in the world recently, but had experienced a drop in form in the earlier part of the season. However Costa seems to have regained his old form, with former manager Jose Mourinho nowhere to be seen around the Chelsea FC dressing room anymore.
In the match against Newcastle United, Diego Costa opened the scoring for Chelsea FC in the 5th minute, with a brilliant finish to beat opposition goalkeeper Robert Elliot. This was Costa’s seventh goal in his last eight league matches. Here’s a video of the goal.
