Sampdoria host AC Milan in a battle for European places at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Saturday night.
After a positive start to the season, the Rossoneri have stalled in recent games and were comfortably beaten 2-0 at home by Palermo in the last round of fixtures. Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi insists that his side needs time to get things right and calls for supporters to be patient.
“It takes patience,” Inzaghi told reporters ahead of his sideai??i??s visit to Sampdoria.”It would be nice if we could be perfect right now, but Iai??i??m not worrying. Against Palermo we never lacked in desire.”

Fourth place Sampdoria are enjoying an exceptional campaign so far and are ahead of their visitors by just three points in an extremely congested fight for the European places. Inzaghi had words of praise for his compatriot who he believes is doing a great job with the Blucerchiati.

Inzaghi went on to discuss the struggles of Fernando Torres, Philippe Mexes and Marco Van Ginkel and assured reporters that all three of them are very much in his plans.
“I believe in Torres and the way he works,ai??? Inzaghi said. “It just takes patience. Heai??i??s coming off a period of not playing, and he needs to get his fitness back. Hopefully heai??i??ll rediscover his scoring touch, starting tomorrow.”
“Van Ginkel has done well since he came here. He was injured after [a 2-2 draw with] Empoli, and I wanted to assess him in the Trofeo Berlusconi to see if he has recovered.I know I can count on a top player, now that heai??i??s available he could be very useful.”
