‘Citeh’ – A Headache for the Champions
City captain Carlos Tevez, who scored in both the legs last year against Chelsea, continued to keep the statisticians happy with a solo effort on the hour mark. The City backline locked the door with the three-man defensive midfield shield acting as the bolt. The only time The Londoners came close to unlocking that door was when Ivanovic’s header hit the woodwork in the first half. Well, now, Ancelotti is quite convinced that City can challenge Chelsea for the title. It’s just 6 matches into the season, hold your horses Sire!

If you are Gooner, you’d want to watch the ‘Beautiful’ Arsenal rather than the ‘Why-are-you-forcing-me-to-play-I-want-to-go-home’ Arsenal. The North Londoners, in one of their ‘traditional insipid displays’ of the season, made a mockery of themselves in front of their home fans against a confident West Brom side. If it was not for Samir Nasri’s brace, the result would have been the worst defeat at The Emirates Stadium for the hosts.

Not United enough to win at The Reebok..
Even the 200th goal of Michael Owen’s English Club career wasn’t good enough for Manchester United to come back with three points from The Reebok stadium. City export Martin Petrov and co. played a handsome game against The Red Devils, never going defensive in an attempt to settle for a draw. As promised earlier, Owen Coyle is trying to ‘UnAllardyce’ this Bolton side with every match in the league.

The best way to come out of your misery in life is to watch a football game in which Stuart Atwell is officiating. Entertaining, to say the least. The ‘talk of the weekend’ was the Dirk Kuyt goal that many believed was an incorrect decision from Atwell, though the Professional Games Match Official board confirmed it to be a correct assessment. England captain Steven Gerrard was a lucky man not to see the dreaded color in football, leaving Steve Bruce and his men furious over the two controversial episodes at Anfield. In between all the hara-kiri, Darren Bent continued his fine goal-scoring form.

The Better Ham at Upton Park..
Tottenham were simply not good enough for a West Ham side who were trying to register their first win of the season. A powerful header from Frederic Piquionne on the half-an-hour mark was the solitary difference between the two sides at Upton Park. Croatian star man Luka Modric came very close to scoring for The Lily Whites, but Robert Green made a ‘world class’ save diving full length to deny the charismatic Spurs attacker.
