Bernardo Silva has a lucrative opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia, although he wants to remain in Europe amid interest from Barcelona.

According to reputed journalist David Ornstein, Bernardo Silva is the latest player to appear on the radar of the Saudi Arabian juggernaut. The Manchester City playmaker is also a target for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. And he wants to remain in Europe, with the Premier League champions demanding €80 million for him.

Bernardo Silva has been a trusted lieutenant for Pep Guardiola over the last half a dozen years. The Portuguese international joined Manchester City following an unbelievable 2016/17 campaign with AS Monaco. And he has gone from strength to strength at the Etihad, especially in the last two seasons.

The 28-year-old has made over 300 appearances for Manchester City, chipping in with 55 goals and 59 assists. But Silva’s Manchester City future is uncertain after winning every trophy with the Premier League club. And the situation has captured the attention of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Saudi Arabia.

Silva has been on Barcelona’s radar for a long time. The Catalan giants have attempted to secure his services in the last two summer transfer windows. But a move has never materialised, even though the player has been ready to embark on a new adventure. However, that has not impacted Barcelona’s spirits, as they continue to chase him.

Silva is also keen on joining Barcelona, although the prospect of moving to PSG has also attracted him. But Manchester City recently rejected an offer for the Portuguese international. In addition, they want to recoup €80 million to part ways with the player in the summer transfer window. And that might affect Barcelona’s hopes of signing him.

But with Silva emerging as the latest name on the wishlists of Saudi Arabian club, the equation has changed. The cash-rich Middle East outfits will unlikely have any qualms about paying €80 million to sign the 28-year-old. In addition, they will likely offer him a lucrative salary to tempt him to move to Saudi Arabia.

But the player wants to remain in Europe if and when he leaves Manchester United. Meanwhile, PSG might not have any issues shelling out €80 million to secure Silva’s services. So Barcelona will have an uphill task pursuing the former AS Monaco playmaker this summer.
