it is no surprise that they have turned down the offer from PSG. Apparently, the French outfit offered Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Donnarumma in a deal to sign the Portuguese midfielder. Manchester City might lose Ilkay Gundogan as a free agent in the coming weeks. So Verratti could have been a useful option for them. On the other hand, the backup options to Ederson Moraes are quite mediocre, and Donnarumma would have strengthened Manchester City.

It will be interesting to see if PSG come back with a revised offer for the Manchester City midfielder in the coming weeks now. Given the fact that Silva is open to the move, PSG will certainly fancy their chances.

The 28-year-old has proven himself in the Premier League for the years. So it is no surprise that he is looking for a new challenge. He has been linked with clubs like Barcelona in recent months as well. Silva is versatile enough to play in a number of attacking positions, and he could be an asset for the French outfit if they manage to sign him.

PSG need to add more creativity and control in the final third, and Silva would improve them immensely. The hardworking attacking midfielder will add flair, creativity, vision and technical ability to the side.

Furthermore the Portuguese international is at the peak of his powers, and he should be able to make an immediate impact at PSG if the transfer goes through. He has already played in the French league before with Monaco and he should be able to settle in quickly.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester City are ready to let him leave if the coming weeks. He has been one of the first names on the team sheet under Pep Guardiola and Manchester City will have to replace him adequately if they sanction his departure.
