Real Madrid and Jude Bellingham have reportedly finalised the agreement over a six-year deal, with a summer move on the cards.

According to a report by 90min, Jude Bellingham has taken another step closer to joining Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old midfielder has agreed to sign a six-year contract when he moves to the Santiago Bernabeu. And the Borussia Dortmund star will have a release clause worth €1 billion in his deal.

Jude Bellingham has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world despite being only 19 years old. He joined Borussia Dortmund nearly three years ago after setting many records at Birmingham City FC as a 16-year-old. And the English international has established himself as a pivotal figure for his club and country.

The teenage sensation is enjoying a phenomenal 2022/23 season, directly contributing to 20 goals thus far. He has found the back of the net 13 times while providing seven assists. But Bellingham’s stint with Borussia Dortmund will end in the summer transfer window, with Real Madrid his next destination.

The reigning La Liga champions hold a long-standing interest in the 19-year-old. And the young midfielder has also been keen on joining Real Madrid for a long time. The two parties have finally sealed the agreement over a six-year contract, with Borussia Dortmund ready to part ways with him.

The Merengues plan to finalise the deal to sign the English international this month. And Bellingham’s arrival will enable Real Madrid to ensure a smooth transition from the previous generation of midfielders to the next. The teenager will succeed Luka Modric, in particular, with the Croat in the twilight of his career.

The report claims that Bellingham will sign a six-year contract when he joins Real Madrid. And his deal will include a mammoth release clause worth €1 billion. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Real Madrid’s opening offer will have a base fee worth €100 million.

The reigning La Liga champions have beaten Liverpool and Manchester City to Bellingham’s signature. But while the 19-year-old will sign a six-year contract if he joins Real Madrid, it will be interesting to see if Los Blancos’ opening bid does the trick.
