Jude Bellingham reportedly wants to join Liverpool instead of Real Madrid when he leaves Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report from Sport Bild, Jude Bellingham is keen on joining Liverpool when he leaves Borussia Dortmund, despite interest from clubs, like Real Madrid and Manchester City.

The England international has been sensational for club and country this season. And his performances at the 2022 FIFA World Cup have shown why the top clubs around Europe are fighting to secure his services.

Bellingham is thought to be keen on a move to Anfield, and it will be interesting to see whether Liverpool can agree on a fee with Borussia Dortmund. The midfielder is reportedly valued at around €100-150 million, and the Reds will have to break their transfer record in order to sign him.

Jurgen Klopp needs to improve his midfield options considerably at the end of the season, and signing Bellingham would be a major coup if Liverpool manage to pull it off. The Reds could lose Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the end of the season, and they will need to bring in more than just one addition. They have been linked with a move for Sofyan Amrabat as well.

Bellingham has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid as well, with the Spanish club looking to bring in the long-term successors for Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. The 19-year-old would be a quality long-term investment for Los Blancos. But the fact that the player wants a move to Liverpool will come as a major blow to their hopes of signing him.

Real Madrid certainly have more resources and a more ambitious squad at their disposal. It will be interesting to see whether the Spanish giants can convince Bellingham to turn down a move to the Premier League and head to Spain instead. Recent reports also suggested that Liverpool have the edge over Real Madrid.

The 19-year-old is destined to develop into a world-class player, and it will be interesting to see what he decides. Both Carlo Ancelotti and Klopp are world-class managers who can help him take the next step in his career and fulfil his world-class potential.
