Liverpool are reportedly in contact with the agency of 26-year-old Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

As reported by Sport Witness, Liverpool have established contact with the agency of Sofyan Amrabat. The Reds are prepared to offer the 26-year-old midfielder a pay rise in order to lure him to Anfield from Serie A club Fiorentina.

Amrabat has been quite impressive for Morocco at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and his performances have caught the attention of Liverpool.

It is no secret that Liverpool need to improve their midfield department in the upcoming windows, and Amrabat could be a quality acquisition. The 26-year-old is at the peak of his powers right now, and he could settle in quickly and make an immediate impact in the Premier League.

Thiago Alcantara has had his fair share of injuries as well, while Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has been inconsistent this season. So improving the midfield department should be Liverpool’s top priority in the upcoming windows, and it will be interesting to see if they can convince Serie A giants Fiorentina to sell Amrabat.

The 26-year-old midfielder currently earns around €1.8 million per season at the Italian club, and Liverpool could offer him improved wages. It will be a significant pay rise and the player could be tempted to move to Anfield in the coming months.

Furthermore, the report adds that Amrabat wants to play UEFA Champions League football, and Liverpool can certainly provide him with that platform. The opportunity to Jurgen Klopp’s side is a tempting proposition for most players, and it will be interesting to see if Amrabat decides to force a move to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Liverpool need to sign more than one quality midfielder, and they have been linked with the move for the Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham as well. The 19-year-old has been exceptional for England in the World Cup, and he is likely to be a man in demand at the end of the season.
