Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney equaled the goal scoring record of former Red Devils striker of 249 goals as he scored in his side’s 4-0 win over Reading at Old Trafford in the third round of the FA Cup.

After being made the scapegoat for the club’s failures at the start of the season, Rooney has silenced his critics and has begun to deliver at the top level. Despite not being a regular starter for Jose Mourinho, the Englishman has managed to impress in the chances given to him in the cup fixtures.
