Harry Kane has described England’s win over Denmark in the UEFA Euro 2020 semi-finals as one of the proudest moments of his life.

Just one more game remains for the UEFA Euro 2020 to come to a close and crown its winner. The battle lines will be drawn on Sunday at Wembley, where England will take on Italy. And following the Three Lions’ march to the grand finale, captain Harry Kane seemed to be revelling in the sense of occasion, as quoted by Transfer Market Web.

Kane scored the match-winner for England to seal a controversial win and end the “feel good” storytellers of UEFA Euro 2020, Denmark, packing. Kasper Hjulmand & co. had produced yet another spirited display, with goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel producing a colossal performance.

In the end, England booked safe passage through to the final and post the match, Kane had this to say about reaching the Wembley finale. The England captain said, “For once it fell our way today. Credit to the boys, what a performance.”

“After going 1-0 down we responded really well and controlled the game, and dug deep in extra-time. It’s the first time in our history as a nation, getting through to the European final at Wembley, and it’s one of the proudest moments in my life, for sure. But we haven’t won it yet, we’ve got one more to go.”

Raheem Sterling won the contentious penalty for England which ultimately led to Kane’s winner and the Manchester City winger was also in high spirits. Sterling said, “We had to dig in deep after the first goal we conceded in the tournament, and we regrouped well and showed a good team spirit to come back and win the game.

“It was difficult going behind but we knew we had to stay patient; we knew with the legs we’ve got, the aggressiveness and the power we have in the team, it would be a matter of time before we broke them down.”

Kane will now hope to produce the goods one final time at UEFA Euro 2020 and inspire England to their first European Championship triumph. Post that, he will return to club football, where an uncertain future beckons him amid links with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
