Manchester United slipped up yet again in their Top 4 charge as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Swansea City at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Yet another home game, yet another home draw, and this time it was relegation battling Swansea City who held Manchester United to a stalemate at Old Trafford. This was their tenth draw at home, 14th overall, and one that provided another dent to their hopes of a Top 4 finish.

In an evenly contested affair, Swansea stood toe to toe with Manchester United for large parts of the game. But, Jose Mourinho’s men grabbed the lead in the dying moment of the first half as Marcus Rashford won a contentious penalty which Wayne Rooney duly converted.

In the second half, Manchester United went in search of the second goal but could not produce the killer blow as Swansea’s attack made the Old Trafford faithful jittery. And Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a sublime free-kick with just ten minutes left in regulation time to earn the visitors a well deserved point.
