John Terry is an undoubted legend in not just Chelsea’s history but in the history of English football. One of the most coveted players to grace the Premier League, with a glittering trophy cabinet to boast, the player has established his legacy at Chelsea with a playing career overlapping more than two decades at the Stamford Bridge alone.

But the player has been restricted largely to the bench this season under Antonio Conte and he has admitted that his Chelsea career may finally be at an end. The veteran is finally ready to call time on his Blues career, announcing that he is set to depart the club at the end of the season.

And his announcement was followed a barrage of appreciation posts for the legend, with fans making their affection for the Englishman known via twitter.

However, there were some who attempted to rain on the parade, with trolls and ironical remembrance of Terry’s Champions League final penalty miss against Manchester United.
