Hector Bellerin has been making the headlines for more than a year now, for all the right reasons. However, of late, there was much speculation surrounding the player’s future with reports linking the player strongly with a move back to his boyhood club Barcelona, while rumours of Manchester City started circulating in the recent times.

The rumours would have really made the Gooners sweat but there seems to be no apparent reason to worry now. The player has now signed a six and a half-year long-term deal at Arsenal and is set to earn around £100,000 per-week.

Bellerin took to Twitter to announce the good news to the fans himself while Arsenal’s official twitter handle also tweeted of the contract extension.

Arsenal fans took over twitter upon hearing of their club securing the long-term future of Hector Bellerin.

Wenger would be happy at locking down Bellerin to a long-term contract and would be looking towards Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to do the same.
