Real Madrid produced another nervy performance, but returned to winning ways on Saturday as they overcame Alaves in a hard-fought 2-1 win at the Mendizorrotza.

Zinedine Zidane’s men took just ten minutes to break the deadlock as summer signing Dani Ceballos scored his first competitive goal in his maiden start for Los Blancos. However, the visitors struggled to assert their authority thereafter, and Alaves took advantage as Manu Garcia headed in their first goal of the season.

But, the hosts’ joy was short lived as Ceballos completed a popular brace only three minutes later, with the goal turning out to be the winner. Real Madrid fans heaved a sigh of relief following the win, while Barcelona fans also decided to weigh in as Los Blancos struggled to the win.

Meanwhile, Isco received the adulation of Real Madrid fans as he made his 200th appearance for the club on Saturday.

But, Dani Ceballos was the talk of the town as he netted a match-winning brace in his first start for Real Madrid.
