Chelsea have sacked Liam Rosenior, placing Callum McFarlane is in charge as interim boss; Filipe Luis is in line to take over next season.

According to a report by O Dia via Sport Witness, Chelsea are now considering former defender Filipe Luis as a potential option. The 40-year-old has impressed with his managerial qualities at Flamengo, and the opportunity to manage his former club will be exciting for him.

Chelsea is among the biggest clubs in the world, and they have the resources to sign the best players. The Brazilian could be attracted to the idea of joining them. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea decides to make a move for him. However, the Brazilian manager does not have a UEFA Pro license, and therefore, he will not be able to take on a Premier League job until that is sorted.

Luis is highly rated in South America, and he has helped Flamengo win five major trophies. He has a win rate close to 70% with them.

Chelsea need a quality manager

This has been a disappointing season for Chelsea, and they could easily miss out on Champions League qualification for the upcoming campaign. They need to bring in quality players and a reliable manager to bounce back strongly in the season. The 40-year-old might be a young manager, but he has the Pedigree to succeed at the highest level. He could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition for the London club. Luis knows the club well and will be able to settle in quickly.

There is no doubt that they have quality players at their disposal. The right manager will be able to bring out the best in them. They are among the biggest clubs in the world and are expected to regularly fight for trophies.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can finish the season strongly and bring in a quality manager. They are pushing for a place in the Champions League next season and have reached the FA Cup final.
