Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing a quadruple raid on Barcelona for Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Sergino Dest, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri.

According to a report by Spanish publication SPORT, Barcelona’s difficult financial position seems to be putting in a precarious position when it comes to the futures of some of their key players. Bayern Munich are plotting a quadruple raid on the Catalan giants, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Sergino Dest, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri on their radar.

Barcelona’s financial struggles in recent times is well documented by now. Amid mounting debt, the Blaugrana have been forced to take some tough calls, with several players already agreeing to pay cuts in order to help out the club in their difficult moment.

In addition, the financial woes have also forced Barcelona to lose Lionel Messi, who is now at Paris Saint-Germain after completing a shock departure from Camp Nou. In addition, Antoine Griezmann has also returned to Atletico Madrid, albeit on a loan deal.

Barcelona, though, continue to crumble under the pile of debt that will prove to be a Herculean task to reduce. Amid such a difficult scenario, Barcelona are now facing the ignominy of more stable clubs raiding them for their best talents, with Bayern Munich plotting exactly that.

On the agenda for the Bundesliga champions are Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Sergino Dest, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri, each of whom appear to be viable targets. Firstly, ter Stegen could prove to be the long-term successor for Manuel Neuer, who is in the twilight of his career.

The German international has indeed been linked with a potential exit from Barcelona, who are in turn scouring the market for potential replacement options, with Luis Maximiano the latest to be linked with the Catalan giants. As for ter Stegen, a move to Bayern Munich could be just what the doctor ordered for him.

Sergino Dest, meanwhile, could add to the competition for Benjamin Pavard while also freeing the Frenchman to possibly be utilised as a centre-back amid the uncertainties surrounding the future of Niklas Sule. The interest in de Jong and Pedri, though, is more interesting, considering Julian Nagelsmann has two world class midfielders at his disposal in Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka.

However, with Marc Roca likely to depart Allianz Arena next summer, either of de Jong and Pedri could come in as an upgrade, although it is difficult to envision both the players arriving at Bayern Munich together from Barcelona. All things considered, though, Barcelona need to keep looking over their shoulders as clubs eye raids on them amid their financial woes.
