Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly among a number of top clubs interested in Rochdale wonderkid Daniel Adshead.

According to an exclusive report from Teamtalk, a host of top European clubs, including the best English sides are showing genuine interest in Rochdale wonderkid Daniel Adshead. The youngster is being tracked by several clubs, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal interested in the starlet.

Daniel Adshead – the player has just turned 16 – is a known quantity in the English circuit. The player has been training with the senior side from the age of 14 and Rochdale manager Keith Hill saw the talent to promote him into the first-team setup recently.

The teenage prodigy recently scripted history as he became the youngest player to take the field and start for Rochdale, playing the full ninety minutes against Bury in the Check-A-Trade Trophy last week – a game they ended up winning.

Keith Hill highlighted the level of talent the 16-year-old possesses and said that he had always intended to bring the player into the first team.

“I always intended on rewarding Dan for what I believe he can become and for what he’s also doing now because he deserves it.”

Interest in him doesn’t restrict to English clubs – few of which are named to be Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal, with all of the clubs scouting him regularly. As per the report, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also interested in the prospect, with some other European clubs in the fray as well.

“Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton have all been scouting him regularly. And we know European clubs have also been alerted to his progress too.”

The suitors, though, will have to wait until the summer of 2018 to wage war against each other for the Rochdale wonderkid. The midfielder is still a schoolboy till May, 2018 and will be free to choose his club after the said month. The player is expected to move on.

However, the faith shown in him by Rochdale might make him reconsider. At Rochdale, he will be able to achieve regular first-team playing time, something that will not be the case at any of the aforementioned top-tier clubs. If he does choose to move on, he will not have any dearth of clubs to pick from.
