Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer £150,000 per-week to Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who is stalling over a new deal with the North Londoners.

As per reports from Squawka, Manchester United have signaled their intent to trump fellow suitors to Tottenham superstar Harry Kane. The forward has been stalling over a new deal at his present club and has been attracting the interest from Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester United.

Harry Kane has become a superstar for club and country with his performances in the past couple of years. The 23-year-old has scored 21 and 25 goals in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 campaigns respectively.

Kane has scored 3 goals in 6 appearances in the Premier League and has been reported to be in talks to agree a new deal with Tottenham. The 23-year-old’s current deal runs till 2020 and as per the report, the player is on a £60,000 per-week contract which includes a modest £35,000 per-week as basic salary.

There has been a hue and cry raised by Tottenham supporters as rumours emerged of new signing Moussa Sissoko earning more than Harry Kane, which has been heavily criticised by the Spurs fans. And as per the recent reports, Harry Kane is supposedly in no hurry to agree a new deal at the club, which is supposed to see his wage rise to around £100,000 per-week.

There has been a lot of interest in Harry Kane with Chelsea and Manchester United from the Premier League; Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan from Serie A and Real Madrid from La Liga, all linked with interest in the striker at varied points in the past.

The recent reports, however, suggest Manchester United are making their intent very clear and they are prepared to offer Harry Kane a bumper £150,000 per-week contract in order to trump the other suitors and Tottenham in order to land the player.

The player is widely seen as a more than able successor to the likes of Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and would also provide Manchester United with the player that is supposed to be the face of the England national team for the next decade or so.

The move would also make sense to United from a financial and commercial point of view considering Kane’s global stature at present. It must be remembered that the Red Devils were linked with a failed £50m bid for the player in the past.

It will certainly not be easy for Manchester United to secure a move for Harry Kane considering the queue of big European clubs that are in pursuit of the player. Still, with United’s current financial stature and the current composition of the squad, the club does have the resources to trump their competitors and land the player.
