Luis Suarez scored his 21st goal in La Liga this season but that was not enough as Barcelona ended up on the losing side on Sunday.

Luis Enrique’s side were visiting the Riazor to take on Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday, looking to widen the gap on Real Madrid on top of the La Liga table. However, Barcelona were to face some disappointment as they went down 2-1 to the relegation battlers.

Joselu opened the scoring five minutes before half-time, finishing calmly past Marc-Andre ter Stegen after a mistake from the Barcelona goalkeeper. However, Barcelona equalised almost immediately after the break through Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan striker converted with a thumping strike from close-range after he found himself in acres of space inside the Deportivo box as it ricocheted off a defender.

However, Suarez’s goal wasn’t enough to earn even a point for Barcelona on the afternoon as Alex Bergantinos headed in from Faycal Fajr’s corner to condemn Barcelona to a 2-1 loss and earn Deportivo three valuable points in their fight from relegation.
