Cristiano Ronaldo was stretchered off during the Euro 2016 finals between Portugal and France, and fans are now amazed at his resilience now that the cause of injury has been revealed.

Ronaldo was out of the match within half an hour, as Portugal managed to shock the world and beat France to be crowned European champions. His tears on the pitch polarized football fans around the world. Those who have been enthralled by the Real Madrid and former Manchester United winger for years were left heartbroken, even though his detractors made little of his apparent agony.

It has now been revealed that Ronaldo suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament tear, which is excruciatingly painful and will keep him out for 4-5 months. Fans on twitter are now showing massive respect for the fact that he tried to play on with such a debilitating injury.

However, there are few who still want to antagonize the Champions League and European Championship winning Ronaldo.
