Zidane Hails Pogba; Confirms Real Madrid Interest

Zinedine Zidane has hailed Paul Pogba as “a complete player” and said that it is only natural that Real Madrid are interested in the Juventus star.

Real Madrid and Juventus legend Zidane was full of praise of his fellow countryman. Released by Manchester United for peanuts, Po0gba is now being chased by Real Madrid as well as their eternal rivals, FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC.

While Pogba, 22, has signed a contract extension with Juventus last season, tying himself to the Bianconeri until 2019, his agent has suggested that the player could leave Juventus should a right offer come in.

Confirming the interest of Real Madrid in the player, Zidane told RTL: “I think he’s fantastic. What I like about him is that he has everything. He’s a complete player, who is also capable of scoring goals, because he gets forward a lot. In terms of his football qualities, he is extraordinary.”

“A lot of clubs are interested. People are talking about Real too. But it’s only natural, big clubs are interested in talented players. For him to improve, it’s important to have a healthy environment around him, and I hope he’ll have that all the time.”

Real Madrid’s rivals FC Barcelona had confirmed their interest in signing the player with their outgoing president Josep Bartomeu saying the club want to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba despite the current transfer ban with Chelsea FC and Manchester United still tracking the player.

.

Bartomeu told Telefoot: a It is true that Pogba is a leading target of ours and obviously we are interested, but I cana t say anything more. We are forbidden to recruit players until January, so I cana t talk about it.a

Juventus have denied any reporting linking the Frenchman to the Spanish sides. CEO Giuseppe Marotta insisted Pogba would remain at the club: a Juventus wants to win the Champions League next season and Pogba is an important player. He will be here next season for sure, 100 per cent.a

The summer could get really interesting with Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid locking horns for the former Manchester United man, Pogba. Juventus, for one, can certainly capitalize by starting a biding war, if they do decide to sell the Frenchman.
