Sergio Aguero Nearing Fitness Ahead Of Manchester City’s Crucial Clash Against Liverpool FC

There seems to be some good news waiting for Manchester City at the other side of the international break, as their ace striker Sergio Aguero seems to be all set to make his comeback from a hamstring injury.

The Argentinian has been in prolific form this season, scoring six goals in seven Premier League appearances, before he suffered a hamstring injury on international duty. This is something that has irked manager Manuel Pellegrini, who had to make do with Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony.

Manchester City have managed to keep themselves at the top of the Premier League (by virtue of goal difference), but they have been lacking the cutting-edge up front.

However, in what seems to be good news for the City fans, Aguero posted pictures of himself working out on a high-tech treadmill, practicing dribbling at the club’s training centre.

This seems to be a good sign, as the club does not play this weekend due to international break, giving Aguero more time to recover ahead of a crucial Premier League clash against Liverpool FC, followed by another big match against Juventus int the UEFA Champions League.

Aguero’s impending comeback just the news that Pellegrini wanted, with Bony injured

Bony hobbled off the field during Manchester City’s goalless draw at Aston Villa this weekend, and that must have increased Pellegrini’s headaches.

However, with Aguero nearing fitness, the Chilean would reassure himself that he does have some option up front other than the teenager Kelechi Iheanacho. This is set to be a breath of fresh air for Pellegrini, who now seems to have two strikers for the upcoming two crucial matches.

It would be interesting to see whether the Chilean chooses to start with Iheanacho in the Liverpool FC match, if neither Aguero nor Bony are back to full fitness by then.
