Real Madrid president Florentino P rez reportedly has remained in contact with the Chelsea FC manager, and would like him to return to the Santiago Bernab u at some point in the future
Jos Mourinho has had a nightmare season with Chelsea FC thus far, raising questions about his future at Stamford Bridge, even though the Portuguese signed a new four-year deal with the club at the start of the season.
La Liga giants Real Madrid would reportedly like to bring back the Portuguese to the Bernab u in the future to succeed current manager Rafael Ben tez, who has himself come in for criticism this season for various reasons.
An exclusive in the Sun newspaper claims Real Madrid president Florentino P rez believes Mourinho to be the best coach in the world, and wants him to replace Ben tez in the summer.

The report quotes a ‘top source’ in Madrid as saying: “If Florentino could have Jose back without any trouble, hea d do it tomorrow. We are not at that stage yet.
a But it is true that they are in regular contact and their relationship goes way beyond the professional. They are friends.”
A return to Real Madrid not impossible
Although it is not advisable to set much store by what the Sun say, a Mourinho return to the Bernab u is not outside the realms of possibility.
Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich might choose to move on if the Portuguese is unable to arrest the Blues’ slide, while P rez is unlikely to find better candidates given the nature of Ancelotti’s departure, as well as the fact that Pep Guardiola is unlikely to ever manage Real Madrid, for obvious reasons.
It is also worth noting that although FC Barcelona are arguably still the best team in world football, they are not quite on the level of Guardiola’s team at its peak — a challenge that Mourinho had to face during his time with Los Blancos.
Mourinho’s future is very much with Chelsea FC at this stage, but things can change very quickly and very dramatically in football, and it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise in the world to see the 52-year-old return to another of his former clubs.
