Sturridge — worth the worry?

Despite all the positive feelings towards Daniel Sturridge, the fact remains that injuries have derailed a major part of his playing career. Even new manager Jurgen Klopp has come out recently to say that Sturridge needs to deal with pain better.

The Anfield based club now have a number of options up front including proven premier league goal scorer Christian Benteke, Brazilian Roberto Firmino and even ex-Burnley striker Danny Ings. Yet, the feeling is that there’s a starting XI spot for Sturridge whenever he returns from injury.

Although he does possess the talent to succeed, Sturridge must now focus on becoming fit for life as a full time footballer if he wants to salvage his career and before Liverpool FC lose patience with him.
