Manchester United To Beef Up Security On Louis Van Gaal For Chelsea FC Match

Louis van Gaal is not exactly a fan favourite at Old Trafford. In fact, he is quite the opposite, with the fans calling for the club to put his head on the chopping block. This is why the Manchester United have decided to beef up the security on their manager at the Theater of Dreams.

.

In fact, the security on the dugout at the stadium was already quite high on Saturday, when Manchester United lost 2-1 at the hands of relegation strugglers Norwich City. This loss seems to have further deteriorated the relationship between Van Gaal and the Old Trafford faithful.

The calls for Van Gaal to be sacked have increased and the Dutchman was even abused by many of the supporters who were seated near the dugout at Old Trafford. Van Gaal also being abused as he walked along the touchline to the dugout at half time and after the end of the match.

This seems to have prompted the club to increase the security on the dugout and the technical area, for the much-anticipated encounter against Chelsea FC at the Old Trafford on Monday, November 28, according to The Sun.

It is another matter whether Van Gaal would remain at the helm of affairs at Old Trafford till then, but the security cannot take a chance with that and will be beefed up for the crunch match.

Tunnel security to be tricky?

Unlike the most other grounds, the tunnel is not situated right beside the dugouts. The players and the coaches have to walk half the length of the field, to get to the safety of the tunnel. With the fans getting a lot of opportunity to get in the face of Van Gaal as he makes his way to the dugout to the tunnel, providing security to the Dutchman could turn out to be a rather tricky affair.
