Jose Mourinho Admits Matching Sir Alex Ferguson’s Title Haul Is Impossible

Jose Mourinho has admitted it will be impossible to match Sir Alex Ferguson’s Premier League title haul.

The Chelsea manager clinched his eighth title across four countries on Sunday, believes the legendary Manchester United boss will remain out in front with his 13 Premier League titles.

Mourinho needs five more championships to reach 13, after two wins with Porto in Portugal, two with Internazionale in Italy and one with Real Madrid in Spain, plus his three with Chelsea.

The self-proclaimed Special One led Chelsea to his third Premier League title with Sundaya s 1-0 defeat of Crystal Palace.

Mourinho said: “I have a long way to go but Sir Alex left the bar in an impossible position for anyone.”

Sir Alex was 51 when he led United to his first title with them in the 1992-93 season.

Mourinho is 52 and has just won his third Premier League crown.

Sir Alex managed Manchester United for 26 seasons, in the English First Division and made them champions on 13 occassions.Ferguson managed till the age of 72 and Mourinho believes the Scot’s record of 13 Premier league Titles is unbreakable.

Speaking to BT Sport, he added: “Impossible. I cannot win 13 Premier Leagues.”

“I can win 13 championships. I have eight. I think I can go to 13.”

“But 13 Premier Leagues? No, no chance.”

Meanwhile Chelsea Captain John Terry has no plans to retire just yet and says he has got more trophies left in him yet.

Terry, 34, has rolled back the clock this season with a string of vintage performances to help win the 16th trophy of his glittering Chelsea career.

Former England captain Terry, however, says he is enjoying his football as much as ever because this current Chelsea squad helps him feel young.

a There will come a point when enougha s enough but Ia ll know when that is and Ia ll be the first to say: a Listen, I cana t do this no more,a a said Terry

Terrya s qualities as Chelseaa s leader on the pitch are infectious to the whole group and he believes those winning their first trophies will only want more.

Terry’s renaissance undoubtedly comes from wanting to prove people wrong after being written off but under Jose Mourinho,he is looking as good as ever.
