Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard is set to be called up as one of the star witnesses in the claim of constructive dismissal filed against the London side by former Doctor Eva Carneiro, as per reports in the Independent.

Carniero left the job at Stamford Bridge following the public criticism she received from Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho for rushing onto the field to treat Hazard during their opening match of the season against Swansea city in August which they went on to draw 2-2.

Mourinho described Carneiroa s actions, alongside club physio Jon Fearn’s, as a impulsive and naA?vea since it led to the side being down to nine men for sometime during the closing stages of the game.

Hazard is expected to be called upon to testify on whether he asked referee Michael Olivier for medical assistance, with TV footage showing the Belgian appealing for help.

Carneiro left the position at Chelsea FC last month, having failed to agree a severance package with the club. She is now claiming a case for constructive dismissal against the club.

A hearing is expected to take place by next year if the club and Carneiro fail to agree on an out-of-court settlement.

She is also in the process of filing a separate case personally against manager Jose Mourinho, which would mean the Portuguese having to appear in front of a tribunal.

.

Hazard’s relationship with Mourinho has been subject to much debate of late, with the manager even dropping the Belgian to the bench earlier in the season.
