‘ai??i??80 Million Not Too Much’: Bartomeu Confirms FC Barcelona Pogba Bid Imminent

Outgoing FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed earlier that the club is looking to sign Paul Pogba and now drops the biggest hint that the asking price of Juventus could very well be within the Catalan giants’ reach.

FC Barcelona’s out going president Bartomeu had earlier confirmed that Juventus’ French star was their number one target and has more or less given the clearest indication that the club may move for the midfielder despite a transfer ban.

The transfer ban, which means the players can sign contracts with FC Barcelona but cannot be registered, means that if FC Barcelona managed to sign Pogba, he will only be able to play for the club from January and until then can only train with his team mates.

FC Barcelona want to move in and secure the player who is being tracked by all the big guns in European Football, especially Manchester United and Chelsea FC with the former preparing an 80 million Euro offer as well, for the player.

Bartomeu told earlier told telefoot: a It is true that Pogba is a leading target of ours and obviously we are interested, but I cana t say anything more.a

a We are forbidden to recruit players until January, so I cana t talk about it.a

And now, Bartomeu has again spoken about FCBarcelona’s pursuit of Paul Pogba, refusing to rule out Juventus’ asking price is out of the club’s range: “On Pogba, I am not within the club at the moment. I don’t know what they are doing about a deal though I am sure there is continued work going on. But right now I cannot say whether a 80 million would be too much or too little.a

.

Real Madrid are also trying to lure the player with Zinedine Zidane recently confirming to the press of the interest in the Juventus’ France star.

However, Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has insisted Pogba would remain at the club and not move to Real Madrid or any other club: a Juventus wants to win the Champions League next season and Pogba is an important player. He will be here next season for sure, 100 per cent.a

Paul Pogba is certainly not short of options, with FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea FC all queuing up for the midfielder. It remains to be seen where the Juventus midfielder will head, if at all Juventus allow him to move.
