Chelsea’s wing wizard Eden Hazard has revealed that he tries to enjoy every game and that he isn’t satisfied if his team doesn’t end up winning.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official club magazine, Hazard insisted that the result is always important when compared to personal achievements. When he was asked about what makes him satisfied at the end of the game, Hazard replied, “To win, of course.
“Even if I score three goals and we lose the game, ita s no good for me.
“I want more than that, though. Every game I try to enjoy myself, to take pleasure from the game, to give pleasure to the fans and, of course, for us to win the game.
“I started the season very well, I have been able to score and make assists for the team. My job is to win the game and I get a lot of freedom on the pitch. I am free to play and I do what I have to do,” he added.
Hazard went on to add that he is loving life at Chelsea after having settled in well since signing in 2012. The Belgian has scored 42 times for the club since arriving and has been one of the top attackers in the last few years. Hazard said, “Ita s really good here. I like this city, my team-mates are very good, I like everybody here a the staff, the medical department, everybody. It has been the same since I arrived here in 2012, ita s a very good club to be at.
“When you play for Chelsea, you play for one of the biggest clubs in the world and that is what everyone wants to do in their profession a be at the top.
“The atmosphere is very good in all the stadiums here, not only the atmosphere around the stadium, but also on the pitch a ita s very good.”
Hazard lauds Fabregas’ impact at the club
The 24-year old also praised the efforts of his teammate Cesc Fabregas who arrived in the summer from Barcelona. Fabregas has 15 assists to his name and has formed a formidable partnership with both Diego Costa and Hazard upfront.
“With Cesc, you dona t need to work for years together, we just needed one game, one training session and we knew each other,a says Hazard. a Ita s a pleasure to play with him because he knows everything about football,” said Hazard.
“Hea s a brain a you can see that because [at the time of writing] he has 14 assists in the league already, in January. Hea s very good and he has the same vision as me, so I like playing with him.
“I have a good feeling with all the other offensive players here. The way the team plays is very good for us to find space, to find the solution, and between my team-mates and me there is a very good connection.”
