Chelsea Want Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez In Exchange For Eden Hazard

Real Madrid are reportedly very interested in Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard, but Jose Mourinho is not willing to let the player go for only a cash deal and wants Colombian sensation James Rodriguez in exchange.

Eden Hazard was a talisman for Jose Mourinho’s side as they marched towards the Premier League title last year and Real Madrid are known to go after players of Hazard’s caliber almost every summer. Although the Belgian’s performances this year have not matched up to his standards, he remains one of the most valuable players on the transfer market.

Chelsea FC are well aware of this fact and, according to Metro News, would only be interested in a deal for Hazard if it involved Los Blancos’ Colombian superstar James Rodriguez coming in the opposite direction. James joined Real in 2014 for an approximate 80 million pounds and is also a very highly rated young player, although he finds himself on the Madrid bench sometimes because of the illustrious competition.

A like-for-like exchange

Both the Belgian and the Colombian are 24 years old and have the potential to become two of the world’s best in the coming years. They also both had their breakout seasons in 2014-15, Hazard in the Premier League and Rodriguez at the FIFA World Cup.

.

They are both good on the ball, great dribblers and excellent in attacking positions, scoring and creating goals at will. This would be an exchange of equals between the two clubs and Chelsea would probably be looking to get some money off the free spending Spanish giants as part of the deal.
