Chelsea FC Winger Facing Legal Action After Agent Confirms Serie A Move

Chelsea FC winger Mohamed Salah’s agent has revealed that the player will remain in Italy and Serie A, but not in Fiorentina as the Florence based club look to take legal action against him.

The Egyptian international had arrived in January at Fiorentina as a part of the Juan Cuadrado to Chelsea FC deal and has been hugely impressive for Fiorentina, since then.

.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Salah’s original contract gave Fiorentina an option to purchase the player for a 18m by December 31, but, the agent of the player has now confirmed that the player will be staying in Italy, but, not in Florence.

Salah’s representative Ramy Abbas was quoted saying by Firenzeviola.it:a We have decided not to stay in Fiorentina. Salah will shortly move on to another Italian club.a

Salah could face legal battle with Fiorentina. He reportedly had an agreement that allowed him to turn down an extension of his contract with Fiorentina, but that was not part of the original contract itself.

Moreover, that agreement stipulated that the player had to provide Fiorentina with an answer by June 30, which Salah failed to do in spite of the club’s repeated probing.

Fiorentina president had confirmed earlier that he had met with the Egyptian wingera s representatives on Tuesday to convince him of staying for another year with the club and had offered him wages in excess of 2.8 million Euros a year.

However, it now seems Fiorentina will not be able to pull the move off for the Chelsea FC winger, not without legal measures, atleast.
