Chelsea FC Manager News : Guus Hiddink Appointed As Interim Manager For The Blues, Simeone Favourite To Take Over The Reigns Next Season

.

Jos Mourinho ended his second spell at Chelsea FC last night after a club statement declared that the Blues and Mourinho have parted ways by mutual consent. Guus Hiddink, who was interim manager at Chelsea FC in 2009, has been confirmed as the new manager until the end of the season.

This will be the Dutchman’s second interim spell at Stamford Bridge. Hiddink has formerly been on the touchline with Australia at the 2006 World Cup in Germany and has also managed South Korea, Russia and his home country of Holland.

Where is Mourinho heading?

Mourinho is being heavily linked with Manchester United, with bookmakers predicting he is most likely to join the Red Devils next summer.

The possibility is seemingly turning into a probability, as current United manager Louis Van Gaal is facing criticism for poor performances, even after all the giant investment.

Chelsea FC target Simeone

Chelsea FC are reportedly targeting Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone. According to the Dail Mail, Roman Abramovic is looking at Simeone as a long term option. However, it would cost around A?15m to release the Argentine from his current contract with the La Liga club.
