Eden Hazard scored a 38th minute winner against Manchester United,to take Chelsea closer to the Premier League Title.

The Belgian fired the hosts in front shortly before the break in a half largely dominated by Louis van Gaala s side, who nearly took an early lead through Wayne Rooney.

Wayne Rooney should have given the visitors the lead inside four minutes, when Luke Shaw raced forward before pulling the ball back to the edge of the box for Rooney, who had plenty of time and space but could only pull his shot wide of the target.

United dominated the majority of the game and it wasn’t until the 38th minute until Chelsea had a shot on target which ultimately turned out to be the winner. John Terry outmuscled Radamel Falcao off the ball and played it to Fabregas who played the ball to Oscar, the Brazilian produced a delightful backheel through the middle for Hazard, and the Belgian charged into the area before firing a left-footed shot, which went in between the legs of De Gea.

However sometimes getting across the line is enough. Chelsea weren’t in control of the game for long periods and United might have grabbed a point, not least when Radamel Falcao lashed a ball against the post in the 76th minute and they were really fortunate not to concede a penalty in the final minute of added time, when Ander Herrera trailed his leg into the clumsy challenge of Gary Cahill and received a yellow card for a dive.Another day and another referee and the outcome could have been different.

This result takes Chelsea 10 points clear of Arsenal and 11 above United, putting the Blues within touching distance of their first league title in five seasons. They can become champions with wins in their next two games.

Eden Hazard was delighted to have helped his team register a win against United.
The Belgian after the match said,”It is always good to win against Manchester United. We have to win two or three more games.”

“It was very difficult, they played very well. They are very big players and we are lucky to score maybe in the first half.”

“I try to score, to create something and today I did very well. That’s my job.”

“We are close but it is not finished. In England you never know.”
