Speaking after Real Madrida s 4-1 win over Manchester City in the pre-season tour, Rafael Benitez commented that everything was fine between Cristiano Ronaldo and him while confirming Karim Benzemaa s future at Real Madrid amidst interest from Arsenal.

As reported earlier, Rafael Benitez seems to have failed to win Cristiano Ronaldo over with reports suggesting a rift between the Portuguese superstar and the new manager. The former Manchester United winger has been also linked with a move back to Old Trafford after having been left in the shadows at Real Madrid.

However Rafael Benitez played down such reports by commenting that Cristiano Ronaldo was a happya at the club.

Amidst interest from Arsenal, Rafael Benitez refused to talk in detail about the French striker but insisted that he was sure that Benzema would stay at Real Madrid this summer.

“And I say always the same, it is their player and I will not talk about that. In this case, Karim is our player but I won’t talk about that. But I’m sure he will stay with us.”
