Arsenal FC players took to twitter to welcome Petr Cech to the London club, while Chelsea FC players wished him luck in his new adventure.

Arsenal completed their first big signing last night as they officially announced the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea. The fans were ecstatic and expressed their delight on the social media and Arsenal players werena t far behind. From Theo Walcott to Mesut Ozil, everyone took to twitter to welcome the Czech Republic international last night.

While Theo Walcott reminded Cech of scoring his first Arsenal goal against him, Kieran Gibbs expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside such a great footballer. Interestingly Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who will once again has to contain with being the number two at the club, insisted that he is delighted at the opportunity of learning from someone like Cech.

Many believe that this move could prove to be a vital addition next season. While some compared this transfer to that Pat Jennings, other stated that this shows Arsenala s growing financial power. But everyone agrees on the fact that Cech will be the first World class goalkeeper for Arsenal since David Seaman, and the former Arsenal legend voiced his delight as well, on twitter.

Chelsea players weren’t to be left far behind. Didier Drogba expressed his sadness at seeing him leave the club, but wished him well for the future.

Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon also wished him luck at his new club.
