AC Milan seriously targeting Fabio Coentrao

AC Milan will continue their hunt for Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao and are hoping to sign him at the end of the season, according to reports.

It is believed that the Serie A giants tried submitting an offer for the Portuguese defender in the winter transfer window, but Carlo Ancelotti insisted on keeping the player and not favour his ex-club by sending the player who is pretty much surplus to the demands of the club, to Italy.

According to Tuttosport, Real Madrid are going to release the player at the end of the current campaign AC Milan might add Coentrao, who has only has four league appearances for Los Blancos this season thus far, to their ranks in the summer.

Reports also propose that AC Milan are already arranging a bid for the defender as new boss Clarence Seedorf has apparently expressed his interest in landing the full-back.
