Ex-Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has announced his retirement from international football.
The 36-year-old midfielder has officially announced his retirement from his England career which has spanned 15 years. Lampard has earned 106 caps in this time.
Lampard made his 106th and final appearance for England in the goalless draw with Costa Rica at the World Cup as captain, with Roy Hodgsonai??i??s men already eliminated from the tournament in Brazil. The particular match was also Steven Gerrardai??i??s last international match and the Liverpool captain has also announced his retirement from international football since.
The current Manchester City player released a statement via his management company and announced his decision.
