Jose Mourinho has recently expressed his dismay at the fact that the Belgium international is yet to win a single ai???Player of the monthai??? award in the Premier League this season, despite being one of the best attackers in the league ai??i?? and he does have a valid point. The 23-year-old has seemingly transformed under Mourinho and is taking his game to the next level. Hazard has already scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 29 starts for the London club and the scary part is that he is perhaps yet to fulfil his true potential. The winger will once again be at the epicentre of Chelseaai??i??s threat going forward in attack and his battle with Bacary Sagna could prove to be decisive.
The Arsenal full back has been their most consistent defender for the past four-five seasons and is widely regarded as one of the best full backs in the Premier League during this period. His long term future at the club might remain in doubts, but Arsenalai??i??s eagerness to retain him shows the faith Arsene Wenger has on this Frenchman. The 31-year-old has been in good form this season as a part of a back four which has showed a lot of steel and character.
Eden Hazardai??i??s style of play means he will run at Sagna and take him on at every opportunity. The Belgium international also likes to cut inside and this might provide a dilemma for the Arsenal full back as to whether go with him during those runs infield or allow other defenders to handle him. Sagna will have to be sceptical about moving forward in attack in this game and leaving space behind him for Hazard to exploit. Santi Cazorla v Nemanja Matic
It has been a stop-start season for the Spaniard where he has looked good in patches and then mixed it up with some fairly disappointing performance by his regular high standards. In the absence of Mesut Ozil, Cazorla is once again playing in his favoured central role, and he will have to step up and deliver the goods for Arsenal. The 29-year-old has recently committed his long-term future to the club and what better way to celebrate it than to provide a match winning performance against one of the title favourites.
Arsenal will depend on Cazorla to provide the creativity behind Giroud and his battle with Nemanja Matic will be a fascinating one to say the least.
The 25-year-old has impressed since his return to Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer window and he has provided an important physical presence in the center of the park for Chelsea. Matic, who has kept Mikel on the bench, will guard the back four and will have to keep a close eye on Cazorla in this game. The Arsenal play-maker will look to drift in between the lines and Matic will have to make sure that Cazorla is not allowed too much time or space on the ball.
Cazorla also has the tendency to drift out wide at times if he struggles to find space in the middle and that might provide a dilemma for the Serbian international. Mourinhoai??i??s recent comments about Samuel Etoai??i??o and his age seemed to have fired up the hunger in the former Barcelona striker and he is once again looking menacing in front of goal. The 33-year-old produced a good performance against Tottenham Hotspur in his last league game and also scored Chelseaai??i??s opening goal against Galatasaray in the midweek Champions League clash. Etoai??i??o seems to be on a mission to prove something on the pitch to his former Inter Milan boss and that is helping Chelsea in this title race.
The Cameroonian will come up against one of the most in-form defender in the league in Laurent Koscielny tomorrow and it will be an interesting battle in final third of the pitch. The Frenchman is perhaps one of the underrated defender in the world at the moment and he has grown by leaps and bounds since his arrival to the Emirates.
