Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that signing a striker in Ai??the January transfer window is not a priority and that they are not interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain, who he believes is impossible to sign from Napoli.

Gonzalo Higuain left Real Madrid along with Jose Mourinho in the summer and joined Italian club Napoli in much talked about move. But only six month after that move, the Argentine international has now been linked with a move to Chelsea, who are expected to sign a striker in this window.
Reports suggest that the London club have already failed with an opening bid and are now preparing an improved offer for the former Real Madrid forward. Higuain has settled down well in Italy and has already scored nine goals in this first season in Serie A.
The Blues on the other hand are struggling to get goals out of their strikers as they look to challenge for the title. Torres, Etoai??i??o and Ba have a combined total of seven goals in the league so far and a new striker is expected to arrive at the Stamford Bridge in this transfer window.
But Jose Mourinho has played down these reports linking Chelsea with Higuain and insisted that the 26-year-old is impossible to sign in this window.
“Nothing is true. He is a player that I know we cannot get.
“He moved from Real Madrid to Napoli six months ago and he’s doing very well, he’s adapting very well to Italy.
“Napoli is a club which normally doesn’t sell. In the last years, they sold one player a year, when they felt it was not possible to keep them.
“They want to win the Scudetto, they want to win the Europa League. I don’t believe they’re interested in selling Higuain.
“Why should we be interested in someone we believe it is impossible to get?” ai??i?? The Chelsea manager said.
Mourinho also insisted that the signing a new striker is not a priority for the club at the moment and believes that the Blues have a good enough squad to attain the objectives of his first season in charge.
“It’s not a priority, it’s not an option. We have three.
“This squad is good enough for my first season, and for the objectives of the first season.
“We’re building a new team. I think the fans trust the club, I think they trust me, and they know we’re building a team for another period of seven, eight years.” ai??i?? Mourinho added.
