Chelsea FC striker Didier Drogba has decided to retire from international football after making 104 appearances for Ivory Coast.
Didier Drogba, who recently re-joined Chelsea, has retired from international football, which means the 36-year-old wonai??i??t participate in the Africa Cup Of Nations in January next year.
The former Le Mans forward became a free agent this summer after his contract with Galatasaray expired. The Ivorian was re-signed by Chelsea on a one-year contract and is expected to take up a coaching role next season.
Drogba has now announced his retirement from international football, which is certainly advantageous for Chelsea as he wonai??i??t be missed during the Africa Cup Of Nations, scheduled to take place in January next year.
He made his international debut in 2002 in a match against South Africa and Drogba has gone on to make 104 for Ivory Coast since then. He has represented his nation in three World Cups and has captained his side since 2006.
