Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers feels his side are facing a different challenge compared to last year but is quietly confident that things will improve soon.
Brendan Rodgers admits Liverpool have to improve their domestic form ahead of Saturdayai??i??s home game against Stoke City. Liverpool slumped to their third straight defeat against Crystal Palace last weekend and conceded a late equalizer against Ludogorets on Wednesday in the Champions League. The Reds boss is under huge pressure but has shrugged off criticism and is looking forward to turning things around after a disappointing start to the season.
“Itai??i??s football. A few months ago I was Manager of the Year, now Iai??i??m favourite to get the sack,” Rodgers said.
“Itai??i??s part and parcel of this wonderful life of working in football. There is short-termism.All I can do is focus on the immediate job and what I can control. Itai??i??s about working with the players and providing even more clarity for them in terms of the function of the team.”
